Hoquiam and Aberdeen Timberland libraries to add open hours
New schedules begin February 1
In response to public demand and library usage patterns, the Aberdeen Timberland Library will be open two additional hours per week and the Hoquiam Timberland Library will be open six additional hours. The libraries have reorganized employee schedules so there will be no extra cost for staffing the new hours.
Effective Friday, February 1:
The Aberdeen library will open at 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday (instead 10:30).
The Hoquiam library will open at 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday (instead of 11).
The new opening times are more in line with local business hours, offering people more opportunities to visit the library at the same time they’re making other stops. Both of the libraries usually find up to 15 people waiting at the doors before opening.
For more information, please call the Aberdeen Timberland Library at 533-2360 or the Hoquiam Timberland Library at 532-1710.
