Meet author Leona Auer: A lifetime of miracles

Leona Auer PhotoLeona Auer—author, wife and mother, woman of enormous talent and a long lifetime of experiences—will talk about and read from "Miracles and Philosophy," her new book based upon her 97 years of living, learning and thinking. Meet her on Saturday, March 8 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Aberdeen Timberland Library. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the presentation.

As her book cover states, Mrs. Auer believes her life has been a wonderful experience and it’s because there was always a divine plan. Her earlier memoirs are titled "A Whistling Girl and a Crowing Hen (1996) and "A Time for Reflection" (1999).

Auer is widely known on the Harbor as a gifted and witty storyteller. Her career as a schoolteacher and counselor took her all over the country as well as, more than once, to Aberdeen. At 97 she is still busy with gardening, reading, dancing, playing pinochle and bingo, and writing.
