Writer reads from memoir, teaches journal writing at Shelton library
A
life is made from the things that happen from moment to moment. That idea is the
heart of Bobbi Illing’s memoir, Moments: A Journey Through the Moments of My
Life. The Tumwater author will read passages from her book on Saturday,
September 8 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Shelton Timberland Library (William G.
Reed Library).
Ms Illing will also teach techniques for journal writing and discuss how journaling can be a powerful tool for handling both the troubles and joys of life with humor, hope and grace.
Illing’s book will be available for purchase after the presentation. The program is free of charge and refreshments will be served. The library is located at 710 W Alder Street in Shelton. For more information, please call the library at (360) 426-1362.
