Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Shelton’s Timberland Library 

The Shelton Timberland Library will host its annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration from noon to 4 p.m., September 29 for families. Dance troupe Grupo de Danza Folklorico Meztizo and musician Octavio Sanchez will perform and bilingual stories of wisdom called "dichos" will be read. Participants can make crafts, learn to make tortillas and taste a variety of salsas.

The event is sponsored by the National Storytelling Network, Mason County Literacy, Even Start, Timberland Regional Library and the Friends of the William G. Reed Library.

Vengan a celebrar con la música de Octavio Sánchez y con dichos, cuentos bilingües llenos de sabiduría. Vean al Grupo de Danza Folklórico Mestizo, hagan artesanías, aprendan a hacer tortillas y prueben salsas maravillosas.
