Author Les Eldridge to discuss sea adventure novels at Shelton library
Les
Eldridge will read from his new novel, “Gray Raiders, Green Seas,” a nautical
adventure of the American Civil War, and will also discuss the “perils” of
writing. After the talk, Mr. Eldridge will answer questions and sign books. The
presentation will be held Saturday, December 15 at 2 p.m. at the Shelton
Timberland Library (William G. Reed Library). Shelton’s Friends of the Library
will provide refreshments.
“Gray Raiders” is the second of the author’s Sea Saga series. The book continues the adventures of Confederate Navy lieutenant Rory Dunbrody, CSN, and Union sailing master Tobias St. John, USN, who work to maintain a friendship across battlelines on the Chesapeake Bay, the Carolina coast and the high seas. The first title is “The Chesapeake Command.” Sage Bookstore will have copies of the books for purchase. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the William G. Reed Library.
Eldridge is retired from careers in elective office, university administration and dispute resolution. He lives on Puget Sound and the island of Oahu.
