Pacific County libraries to host food-and-fitness programs for young children
It’s never too soon to learn about good health so all five Pacific County Timberland libraries will host Healthy Strides, a free series of activity-filled programs on nutrition and fitness for children ages 3 through 8 and their parents or caregivers. Linda Porteous, the Healthy Strides Program Coordinator for the Pacific County Health Department, will present the sessions. The programs are designed to make it fun for young children to learn about food groups, exercise and keeping their hearts, lungs, bones and teeth strong.
Sessions begin at the South Bend Timberland Library (10-10:30 a.m.), the Raymond Timberland Library (11-11:30 a.m.), and the Ilwaco Timberland Library (6:30-7 p.m.) on Tuesday, June 19.
Sessions begin at the Naselle Timberland Library (11-11:30 a.m.) and the Ocean Park Timberland Library (1-1:30 p.m.) on Thursday, June 21.
For schedules and more information, people can contact the Timberland libraries in these communities: Ilwaco, (360) 642-3908; Naselle, (360) 484-3877; Ocean Park, (360) 665-4184; Raymond, (360) 942-2408; South Bend, (360) 875-5532.
