Women pirates feature in Northwest writer’s reading and book talk

Seattle writer Barbara Sjoholm will read from and discuss her book, "Pirate Queen: In Search of Grace O’Malley and Other Legendary Women of the Sea," on Friday, November 9 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Olympia Timberland Library. A book signing will follow. Copies will be available for purchase.

Sjoholm is a world traveler, translator, publisher and feminist as well as a writer of nonfiction, short stories and novels, including a crime fiction series. She cofounded Seal Press in Seattle.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Olympia Timberland Library. The library is located at 313 8th Avenue SE, Olympia. For more information, please call the library at (360) 352-0595.
