"Now THIS is a great book!" Nancy Pearl’s newest "best" booklist
Nancy Pearl, reading advisor extraordinaire and author of "Book Lust: Recommended Reading for Every Mood, Moment and Reason" and "More Book Lust," will talk about the fiction and nonfiction books on her newest list of favorites on Saturday, March 24 at 1 p.m. at the Lacey Timberland Library. A book signing will follow.
Known among librarians as the "book talk maestro," Pearl is featured weekly on National Public Radio. Her recommendations will surprise, entertain, and delight readers in the ongoing quest for the next great read. Pearl’s new book, "Book Crush," due to be published this spring, will offer reading recommendations for children and teens. Her web site is www.nancypearl.com/.
Pearl is the former Executive Director of the Washington Center for the Book. In 1998, she developed the program, "If All of Seattle Read the Same Book." Since then, one-book programs involving entire communities in reading and talking about the same title have spread across the country.
The March 24 event is sponsored by the Friends of the Lacey Timberland Library. For more information, please call the library at (360) 491-3860. The library is located at 500 College Street SE, Lacey.
