Centralia library program gives sparkle to the Thursday after Christmas

The Centralia Timberland Library has lined up a presentation for schoolchildren to perk up the middle of their winter holidays. Magician Jeff Evans will present "Reading Magic" on Thursday, December 27 at 2 p.m. for children in grades 1 through 6. Children will need to enter the meeting room through the library’s 110 S Silver Street entrance because the library will still be closed for carpet replacement.

During the program children will explore the magic of reading with Evans and favorite book characters such as Amelia Bedelia and Curious George, and the stories of Dr. Seuss. Evans encourages children to enjoy reading for a lifetime. He says: "Every book is a magic book… when you read it."

The presentation is sponsored by the Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library.
