Centralia library to close for 3 weeks for carpet replacement
The Centralia Timberland Library will be closed from Sunday, December 9, 2007 through Tuesday, January 1, 2008 while the City of Centralia has its 29-year-old carpet replaced throughout the building. The library is expected to reopen on Wednesday, January 2.
"Centralia library staff and others throughout the Timberland Regional Library (TRL) system will do all they can to minimize the disruption of library services during the closure," said Jinny Burns, Centralia Timberland Library Manager.
Rubenstein’s Contract Carpet of Olympia was awarded the bid for the project. The cost will be $68,285. "The new carpet is a warm burgundy-base color with variations for major sections of the library. The carpet in the children’s area features letters of the alphabet. We think the community will be pleased with the library’s new look," said Ms Burns.
