Thurston County Commissioners appoint Judy Weaver of Rochester to Timberland Library Board
The Thurston County Commissioners have appointed Judy Weaver of Rochester to the Timberland Regional Library Board of Trustees. Ms Weaver has 32 years experience in the banking and real estate industries. She is co-owner and manager of Dream Weavers, Inc., a family real estate business. Her term of office begins with the regular monthly board meeting of Wednesday, March 29 and continues through December 2012.
"I am impressed by how the Library stays current with state-of-the-art technology and resources. One thing I want to do as a Trustee is help the Library remain up to date, within budget, of course," Weaver said. "That helps busy families stay involved in the Library. So much is available to them through the Library’s Web site. Something near and dear to my heart is families reading together. I’m really interested in bringing them into the libraries and passing on my own family’s love of reading," said Ms Weaver.
The seven-member Timberland Regional Library Board of Trustees is appointed by the commissioners of Thurston, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason and Pacific counties, with a trustee from each county and two additional trustees filling at-large positions. The Board makes policy decisions and provides direction for the five-county library system.
The Board holds public meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month. If that day conflicts with holidays or conferences, the meeting is held on the third or the fifth Wednesday. The meetings are at 7 p.m. and are held at either the TRL Administrative Service Center (415 Tumwater Blvd. SW, Tumwater, WA 98501) or at one of the library system’s 27 community libraries.
The Wednesday, April 26 meeting will be at the Lacey Timberland Library, 500 College Street SE, Lacey. For future meeting dates and locations, call 943-5001 in the Olympia area or 1-877-284-6237 in all other areas; or visit the Library’s Web site at www.trlib.org.
Timberland Regional Library serves the information, reading and lifelong learning needs of the Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston county public at 27 community libraries and 6 cooperative library service locations. The library system is funded by local property taxes. For information on any subject, the Thurston County public can telephone Timberland’s Central Reference Service at 704-INFO (704-4636) or they can "Ask a Librarian" online at
