The regular summer schedule for Timberland Regional Library begins Sunday, June 4. The Aberdeen, Centralia, Shelton, Lacey, Olympia and Yelm Timberland libraries will be closed on Sundays during June, July, August and September. All other hours remain the same. These libraries will resume Sunday hours in October (except on holidays that fall on Sunday).

Two libraries are open on Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. all year, except holidays. They are the Ocean Park and Packwood Timberland libraries. The other 18 Timberland libraries are always closed on Sundays.

People in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties can call Central Reference Service librarians for information on any subject seven days a week year round, except holidays. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 to 9; Friday, 9 to 6; Saturday, 9 to 5 and Sunday, 1 to 5. The number for Olympia area residents is 704-INFO (4636). In all other locations the toll-free number is 1-800-562-6022.

Other services can be accessed on Timberland’s Web site - www.trlib.org - any time, any day. People can email Central Reference librarians (click on Ask-A-Librarian) and search the library’s catalog. Cardholders can also use 48 online information resources for personal, professional and school research (click on Reference Databases) and access their library card accounts.

Timberland Regional Library serves the information, reading and lifelong learning needs of the Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston county public at 27 community libraries and 7 cooperative library service locations. The library system is funded by local property taxes. Anyone needing special accommodations to participate in a library’s program can contact the library a week in advance.
