Celebrate the season with a telling of the Grinch’s tale
Gather around award-winning storyteller Christopher Leebrick for his acclaimed telling of the classic Dr. Seuss holiday tale, "The Grinch," at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9 at the Montesano Timberland Library. As part of the Montesano Festival of Lights, Leebrick will also share other tales to warm up a cold winter’s day. The presentation is free of charge and intended for all ages.
With narrative and acting skills, storytellers reinvigorate well-known tales and help keep traditions alive. Leebrick has performed for many thousands of children and adults across the United States at schools, libraries, concert halls and campfires.
Leebrick received national Storytelling World Awards for his two story CDs. He was featured recently at the Australian National Storytelling Festival and story festivals in St. Louis, the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas and Missoula, Montana. Leebrick and his family live in Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
The presentation is being sponsored by the Friends W.H. Abel Memorial Library. The Montesano Timberland Library is located at 125 Main Street S, Montesano. For more information, people may contact the library at (360) 249-4211.
