Centralia library hosts workshops on new Medicare prescription drug program
Valerie Mason, an Assistance Specialist for the local Area Agency on Aging, will conduct hands-on workshops on the new Medicare prescription drug program, beginning with an overview of the plan, at the Centralia Timberland Library. She will give basically the same workshop three times:
Sunday, February 26 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
Monday, February 27 from 8:30 a.m. to noon
Monday, February 27 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The evening workshop is geared toward people who are helping seniors get enrolled. People will be able to use the library’s computers to actually enroll in a Medicare drug plan. They should bring a list of their medications, an estimate of the out-of-pocket cost, and their Medicare card.
For more information, people can contact the library at (360) 736-0183.
