New “Talk Time” series to begin at Aberdeen library for people learning English

The Aberdeen Timberland Library will host four programs on Thursdays beginning October 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. for people of all ages who are learning to speak English.

These seasonal programs, called Talk Time, are informal gatherings in the library meeting room. Participants hear information on practical topics and then may practice their conversation skills. Topics will include using the library, buying a house, and the basic health system. The last program will involve sharing favorite holiday recipes and will include a potluck. A variety of related activities and stories will be offered for children who attend these free programs.

For more information, call the library at (360) 533-2360.

The library offers Talk Time in partnership with Grays Harbor College. The program is supported by a grant from the Rayonier Foundation.
