Author and columnist Andrea Rains Waggener will discuss her book, Alternate Beauty, and tell how creating the main character and telling her story affected her own life. The lecture will be presented Sunday, March 5 from 2-3 p.m.

Ronnie, the character, finds herself living in a world where the bigger you are, the more beautiful you are. Does living in such a world make all Ronnie's dreams come true? As the author will discuss—yes and no.

Andrea Rains Waggener: Ms. Waggener is a columnist for the Daily World since 2000 and has also written Healthy Wealthy & Wise – 52 Life Changing Lessons for the 21^st Century. Her newest book, Dog Parenting – How to Raise an Outrageously Happy and Well-Adjusted Canine is due to be published in April.
