TRL Foundation unveils fundraiser, "Mysteries on Alaskan Waters," at Montesano Library

Hear about the mysteries of award-winning author J.A. Jance and learn about an opportunity to join her on an Alaskan cruise. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 21, at the Montesano Timberland Library (W.H. Abel Memorial Library). A representative of the Timberland Regional Library Foundation (TRLF) will discuss Jance’s books and a cruise consultant will provide information about an opportunity that will also benefit the Timberland Regional Library Foundation. Light refreshments will be served.

The seven-day roundtrip Alaskan cruise is scheduled for mid-September 2006. The vessel will cruise Alaska’s Inside Passage and spectacular Glacier Bay with daylong stops in Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan. The cruise includes all meals as well as entertainment and activities for all ages, child care and 24-hour room service.

Those who sign on for this special Alaskan voyage will have exclusive opportunities to hear, talk to, and dine with Ms Jance. Her two mystery series, one featuring Seattle detective J.P. Beaumont and the other, Arizona sheriff Joanna Brady, are highly regarded for deft plotting, strong characterizations, authentic dialog and vivid settings. One of the J.P. Beaumont titles, "Birds of Prey," takes place on an Alaskan cruise.

"We’re delighted to offer people the opportunity of an exciting vacation that will also support their libraries," said Sebbas, "Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the TRLF for the benefit of the Timberland Regional Library District."

The Friends of the W.H. Abel Memorial Library are hosting this presentation.
