"Books to You" is a new program of the Ocean Park and Ilwaco Timberland libraries that provides delivery of library materials to patrons who are homebound. Joining in the program is easy. A homebound library cardholder or their caregiver need only telephone the Ocean Park or Ilwaco Timberland Library and say they want to participate. Then all that patrons or caregivers have to do is call and identify themselves as Books to You members.

When a call is made, library staff will order any library materials in the Timberland library system that the patron wants. "Timberland has a great variety of materials for people to choose from, such as large-print books, books on cassette or CD, videos, music and more," said Iver Matheson, Ocean Park’s Community Librarian.

Volunteers will deliver materials to patrons and pick them back up to return to the library. Nita Stone of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has lined up the volunteers; library staff will gather the materials and schedule the deliveries.
