The Olympia Timberland Library roof replacement project will begin Monday, July 12, a few weeks earlier than last expected. The project will take about three weeks and cost $254,000.

The library will be open as usual throughout the project. Ten spots in the southeast corner of the parking lot will be occupied by roofing materials. The tar kettles will be located on the southwest corner. Contractor, Scholten Roofing, Inc., will use a variety of tar odor control measures.

Timberland Regional Library serves the public in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties at 27 community libraries.
