Radio producer-storyteller Joe McHugh takes us home with family stories
The
Olympia Timberland Library presents "The Telling Takes Us Home: Celebrating
American Family Stories, with Joe McHugh" at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 5 at
313 8th Avenue SE, Olympia.
Join radio producer, storyteller, and traditional fiddler, Joe McHugh, as he shares stories he’s heard while traveling the backroads of the country. McHugh, whose stories have been featured on NPR’s Morning Edition and Voice of America, shows how the telling of family and community stories draws people together and creates meaning. McHugh and his family have recently settled in the Olympia area.
The program is free of charge and is being sponsored by the Friends of the Olympia Timberland Library. For more information, call 360-352-0595.
