Tune Your Ear to Opera at Yelm Timberland Library’s Music After Hours

Singers from the Opera Pacifica Education and Repertory Association will present a selection of arias and duets Friday, May 16 at 5 p.m. at the Yelm Timberland Library as part of the library’s Music After Hours series.

Robert William Corl, tenor, and Cynthia Mohorko, soprano, will sing excerpts from the opera, Carmen, and other songs. Opera Pacifica, based in Yelm, will be staging Carmen at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in Olympia during the last weekend in May. Corl will be playing the role of Don Jose, the tenor lead and Carmen's love interest. Mohorko will sing the role of Mercedes.
