Timberland librarians present family programs at bookstore to
kick off
the Library’s Sea Splash Summer 2003
Timberland Regional Library youth services librarians will present two family story time programs of stories, songs, action rhymes and crafts at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers store in Olympia to kick off the library district’s summer program, Sea Splash Summer 2003.
Wednesday June 11 at 7 p.m., Tumwater librarian Leanne Heald will present a story time program featuring sea life. Saturday June 14 at 11 a.m., Curious George will stop by librarian Patty Wright Manassee’s program about monkeys. Afterwards, youth and families can sign up for Timberland’s Sea Splash Summer, the library district’s summer series of free presentations, activities, prizes and reading programs.
Before and after each program, from 5 to 9 p.m. June 11, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 14, Barnes & Noble will donate a percentage of sales to the Timberland Regional Library Foundation when customers present Timberland vouchers. Vouchers are available at Timberland libraries. The bookstore is located at 1530 Black Lake Boulevard. For more information, call Joan Ashcraft at 534-0388.
