Author Presents Talk and Slides on Lewis & Clark Trail Adventures at Ocean Park Library

Photo of Elizabeth GrossmanElizabeth Grossman will give a talk and slideshow on subjects from her new book, Adventuring Along the Lewis and Clark Trail, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 at the Ocean Park Timberland Library, 1308 256th Place, Ocean Park. The presentation is free of charge and geared to a high school to adult audience.

Grossman’s new book was commissioned by the Sierra Club, and describes modern-day explorations in each section of the famed 200 year old Lewis and Clark Trail. Grossman, an enthusiastic outdoor adventurer, includes suggestions for a range of activities—day hiking, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, and wildlife viewing, as well as short, easy walks and car trips to interpretive centers and historic sites. The author bridges the gaps between the historic trail and present-day terrain with portrayals of natural history, information on the Corps of Discovery campsites, and excerpts from Lewis and Clark’s journals.
