I loved The Barn because it keeps you guessing throughout the whole book. I like the short chapters and the hidden messages too.

a child called "it"

Author:

Pezler, David

Review:

I loved this book because it's a great story of how this little boy David has to survive because his mom beats him constantly and show no mercy (so very sad) but he does survive her. She beats him, burns him, makes mustard gas and locks him in the bathroom. You read it and find out for your self!

A Child Called "It"

Review:

I liked this book because it keeps you on the edge of your seat, and be prepared, because the first chapter is a little harsh.

A child called "it"

Author:

Review:

The only thing that I did not like about the book was that his mother was so cruel. I almost did not read the book but I am glad that I did because it made me realize that children have no way to fight back against abuse from their parents.

Review:

I have read this book four times and even though I could most likely tell you the story word for word by memory it never gets old. Even though young David is constantly being abused,he never gives up. i absolutly love this book.

Generation Dead

Author:

Daniel Waters

Review:

This book was fantastic!!!!!! I love living-dead books and this is truly one of the better ones. It also relates to the normal teen ager in high school. It has all the labels a normal high school has. A Goth girl falls for a Dead boy and a Jock likes the Goth girl. This is a book you HAVE to read. This book Rocks!!!!

This book was INCREDIBLE! It was just as moving and as enchanting as her Twilight series. Wanderer and Melanie (the two main charaters) have to go through intense internal conflicts and external conflicts, while inside the same BODY!

This book is about a orphan in the time of the Holocaust who is trying to find his place in the world. While trying to balance out all his problems, he encounters different things like violence, love, and religion. This book gives you a great view of how the Holocause must have been like.

New Moon

Author:

Stephenie Meyer

Review:

This book was just as good as the first. Edward does something he regrets and now Bella is left to deal with the worst problem ever. When she puts her life in the hands of Jacob Black, things get bad. He's the only one Bella has left and now things get worse. Another vampire is after Bella and she only has Jacob. When Bella does something to upset Edward, she goes to save him from something terrible. Is there enough time? The ending was my absolute FAVORITE part in the book. Read the book, it's just as awesome as Twilight.

The Silver Kiss

Author:

Annette Curtis Klause

Review:

This book was totally amazing. It is about a girl who's mother has cancer and her father is always with her mother so she is alone. She meets a boy in the park and he is a vampire. He needs her help to defeat his brother. This is a great book. I couldn't put it down. I can kinda relate to the parents part but not so much to the vampire part. This is a great book and a quick read only 198 pages. This author has also written Blood and Chocolate. Another great book.

Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie

Author:

David Lubar

Review:

This is, like, one of the best books in the world. It's written by David Lubar, the author of Hidden Talents, True Talents, Flip, Dunk, and more. David Lubar is a great author, and I'm reading a lot of his books. But this book is really amazing. It's about a guy who has to try to survive his freshman year in High School. His friends don't like him anymore, and he's all alone. But he makes two more friends--friends that nobody else likes besides him. But they're good friends, and they stick by him and help him take his mom to the hospital when she's having a baby. This is a great book.

Twilight

Author:

Stephenie Meyer

Review:

This book IS the best. When Bella Swan moves from sunny Arizona to gloomy Washington, her life takes a huge turn when she meets Edward Cullen. He's irresistible and he's hiding a dark secret from Bella. The more Bella gets involved with Edward, the more she puts herself and others in danger and she doesn't even realize it. Is it too late to turn back? I've read this book so many times I can't count how many. That shows how good this book is.

The Twilight Series

Author:

Stephanie Meyer

Review:

I loved this book because it was original and fresh! It wasn't just some love story where something happens but she miraculously gets over it and they go off all happy in the sunset! She actually has normal feelings and has to make a choice! And it is such a page turner! Every spare moment I had I spent reading!

the last universe

Author:

william sleator

Review:

I liked the book because the part of this book that I thought was good was the ending, because the characters had to find a different dimension (a dimension is like another universe) where Suzan's brother, Gary, wasn’t sick. Gary was getting weaker and weaker. He thinks that a flower called the lotus has something to do with quantum physics, because at night it goes and like gets sucked in, but while it's daylight it sprouts everywhere. Gary says that lotuses grow only in tropical areas like the Bahamas but then Suzan sees a few of them next to the outhouse that they have, so then Luke (the owner of the outhouse) says he doesn’t know why they are growing there because he claims he has never seen them before in his life. So Suzan and Gary are trying to find out why they're growing there and they both go inside and see a maze behind the garden. They have to find out why the maze suddenly appears there, because they’re curious, so then they take Sro-dee (the cat that belongs to Luke) and they go into the maze. While they are walking the cat Suzan sees that they’re all becoming partially invisible and they don’t know why. Then the cat turned and took them down a path, and then it's like they're in a ghost town. Then they find their house that they live in now and its their great grandfather's house, so they go inside and sit down around these huge round tables with their relatives. And they’re all talking about how it’s a weird dimension thing that’s going on and so Suzan has to write down a physics problem and then they walk back down the path but this time Suzan was scared because the cat just sat down and she thought the cat wasn’t going to move ever again, so she and Gary were about to cry because they don’t know the way back and they think that they're going to die. But then the cat gets back up and takes them home. When they go back home Suzan has to take medicine and she is feeling more weak then ever before and she realizes in the dimension where they now that she is the one who's sick. So I would rate this book at a 4 out of 5 because it was exciting.

Princess in the Spotlight

Author:

Meg Cabot

Review:

This book was a great sequel to the first book, The Princess Diaries. Mia writes in her journal, as in the first book, and goes through so many different changes in her life. She records them in her journal. Mia gets an announcement from her Mom that will make her go crazy. She also has to go on live television, which freaks her out! Then Mia gets a secret admirer. Does she find out who it is? Read the book to find out. I really enjoyed this book because of the way Mia puts everything together and how she comments things. I think Meg Cabot does a great job of putting herself in the position of a ninth grader to wirte these books.

Trickster's Choice

Author:

Tamora Pierce

Review:

I really liked this book. It shows that girls can be smart, out think boys, and be a superior spy. Aly is a really inspiring character that you will probably remember for years. If you like spy novels that happen with surprises and a little romance, you should read TRICKSTER'S CHOICE!
