Family Read Aloud - March 2 to April 12

Read All Over Your House!

  1. Sign up to participate at any Timberland Library.  Pick up a Read-Aloud house, stickers and a Books to Read-Aloud brochure at your local library or print one now.
     

  2. Enter a drawing for a chance to win a Target suitcase full of Scholastic books, or your family's photo with "First Mike" Gregoire, and Books! Books! Books!
     

  3. Read every day as a family.  Begin on the birthRead-Aloud Houseday of Dr. Seuss, March 2, and conclude on Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R) Day on April 12, Beverly Cleary's birthday.  For more information, visit NEA Read Across America or Drop Everything and Read.
     

  4. Read in any room in your house, and then place a sticker in a room of the house on the folder to show where you read.  Read in every room of your house! 
     

  5. On the back of the folder, list the books you read together. 
     

  6. Take the Family Read-Aloud Survey (March 21 - April 18).

Prize drawing will be held April 17, at the conclusion of the Family Read-Aloud.  One suitcase of books and one family photo with "First Mike" Gregoire, will be awarded for each county (Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific and Thurston).
