Demolition of the Ilwaco Timberland LibraryThe Ilwaco Community Building, which is the home of the Ilwaco Timberland Library, is undergoing major renovation. The project started in March 2008 and is expected to take about a year. The renovated library will have about 1,200 additional square feet for books and other library materials, computers and comfortable reading areas. The Community Building will also have a shared meeting room. The Library is currently in temporary quarters. Before beginning work on the renovation of the Ilwaco Timberland Library, portions of the old building had to come down. See photos from late March 2008 of the demolition work below.
