- Read and Feed! Between March 1 and 15, families visiting the library are invited to bring canned or other non-perishable food to be donated to local food banks in Timberland communities.
A prize drawing will be held on April 16, at the conclusion of the Family Read-Aloud. Two backpacks full of children's books will be awarded for each TRL county (Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific and Thurston).
Note to parents: Kids who read succeed! Give your children a priceless gift...
Read Together Every Day!
Reading aloud together or sharing library story times nurtures relationships, stimulates imaginations and sends strong positive messages about the value of reading to children. Listening to a familiar voice share a story helps children make their first connection between language and the printed word. | |
