We celebrated National Novel Writers Month at our library this November and there were three meetings altogether. Each meeting had 10 attendees, and they all commented about how much they appreciated the chance to talk about their writing. One wrote poetry, one was a college student wanting some practice; another was already a published non-fiction writer who was inspired to write fiction. Since then, a genuine writers group has blossomed into a once a month meeting.
