A patron came to the desk carrying a book by Ken Scholes. He wondered if this was the same boy he'd been friends with growing up. We researched the biographical information available on Ken Scholes, and while the specific "small logging town inear the base of Mt Rainier" wasn't named, the patron excitedly remembered that his friend had received a letter from Ray Bradbury in response to one he'd written, and was certain this was the same guy when he saw the title of Scholes' short story "Edward Bear and the Very Long Walk". The patron returned to the library not long afterward to thank us and report that he had been able to reconnect with his now famous childhood friend.
