A patron came to the desk, asking for the person in charge. She’s been doing distance course work, having to prepare and print materials. Her mother has gone into palliative care, and if it wasn’t for the generosity and support of the library staff here she wouldn’t have been able to manage. She wanted to thank us, and be sure that we knew! (Submitted by Holly P. & Ryan W.)
As a follow-up, this same patron visited today and again thanked staff for all their help in assisting her with printing and accessing her course materials online. Her mother passed away last weekend, and the library made this stressful time easier for her because she was able to do what she needed to using our computers. So nice to know we can help make our patron's lives easier, it's what we're here for! (Submitted by Holly)
